Quality NY CPA with expertise in the small to mid-size businesses, non-profit enitities, tax and business planning and management for businesses as well as individuals.
THE GENERAL LOCATION:
New York Metropolitan area (New York City, Long Island, etc.) My own practice is located primarily on Long Island but I do have many clients in the general New York area as well as numerous other states. I have the best of both worlds also being affiliated with a mid-town NYC firm managing numerous accounts for them and providing them with tax work and research expertise.
I am a sole practitioner who prides himself on the personal touch he provides for all of his clients. I am also affiliated with the NYC firm Rosenblatt, Radezky, Schiff & Tepper. I was a partner with a mid-size Long Island CPA firm for 12 years (was there for 18 years)
I have been in the practice of accounting for almost 30 years. I am 51 years young and have been at the upper management or partner level for 16 years. I graduated from SUNY at Albany. Currently I belong to the AICPA, NYSSCPA's, NACCB, NYSA and attend or moderate numerous networking events monthly through various organizations. I have also been licensed to practice as a CPA in Louisiana, Kansas, South Carolina and Missouri. I was involved with the Make-A-Wish Foundation for 16 years, serving for 6 years as the Treasurer and Chair of Audit/Investment for the national organization and serving numerous terms for the Suffolk County chapter. I finished my term and service as the Chairman of the Board of the Suffolk County chapter. My experience with the organization and my various clients have given me a unique perspective that I bring to non-profit organizations...I have been on both sides of the table. I have also have had various articles published in print publications as well as online. I have been interviewed and featured as part of CNN's tax season series in 2004 and was featured in an article in a prior alumni magazine for SUNY at Albany. This past year I was interviewed on ABC Digital News regarding networking and the link for that clip is on the Networking for Professionals web site.
FUTURE PROFESSIONAL GOALS:
My goal is to continue to provide quality accounting, financial and management guidance to my clients and contacts. I enjoy networking and want to continue to develop as the primary "rainmaker" in my firm. I am truly an accountant with a personality who provides his clients with more than just the bottom line!
My standard comment is that I will talk to anyone, at least once, because you never know where the next piece of business is going to come from. I am not only looking for new business for but it is almost as important to have quality contacts and business relationships that can help your clients. Who and what you refer are a reflection on you and the service that you can provide your clients. I work with a very diverse group of contacts including attorneys, banks, insurance/pension planners, small businesses, high income/net worth individuals to name a few. I am also a giver, I have no problem refering someone to one of my clients if I am comfortable with that person and I feel that they can help my client.
